Unlike traditional environmental groups that focus solely on advocacy or isolated cleanups, CCIF operates a vertically integrated field infrastructure. In Region 19, thawing permafrost and shifting sub-arctic currents create a compounding crisis: ancient organic runoff, toxic leachate, and tons of floating industrial plastics funnel directly into fragile fjords and river mouths. Our mission is to intercept, stabilize, and permanently remove these hazards before they destabilize northern ecosystems.
Current-Driven Plastic Recovery
Sub-arctic currents naturally funnel floating plastics, microplastics, and abandoned gear into narrow coastal zones. We deploy strategic recovery networks along high-flow convergence paths to purge marine debris from the food web.
Permafrost & Thermal Shielding
Rapid permafrost degradation destabilizes the Boreal Hydrologic Cycle, releasing ancient carbon and toxic runoff. Our high-latitude leachate interception systems cool and neutralize runoff at the source.
Coastal & Kelp Forest Armor
Destructive seasonal sea-ice movement tears up vital carbon-sequestering kelp forests. We install low-profile benthic armor structures along the Bering Shelf and Inside Passage to safeguard underwater habitats.
